LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE: I acknowledge that Amity Island Running Club, Inc. (“AIRC”) is a nonprofit organization that organizes a variety of running related activities on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. I am voluntarily entering or agreeing to participate in running activities, including both “fun runs” and official races, organized or sponsored by AIRC (“AIRC Activities”). I certify that I am medically able to perform all AIRC Activities and am in good health.

I recognize that participation in AIRC Activities is potentially hazardous and I willingly assume all risks associated with such participation, including, but not limited to, falls; contact with other participants, spectators, or others, or vehicular or other traffic; the effects of the weather, including heat and/or humidity, wind, cold, and wet or slippery surfaces; falling tree branches or other overhead objects; traffic; and the crowded nature and other conditions of the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on mbehalf, do hereby waive, release, discharge, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue (a) AIRC, (b) all officers, directors, employees and volunteers (including medical volunteers) of AIRC, (c) all officers, directors, employees and volunteers of all sponsors of the AIRC Activities and (d) the representatives, agents, and successors of each of the foregoing (collectively, the “Releasees”), from present and future claims and liabilities of any kind, known or unknown, arising out of my participation in any AIRC Activities.
